Will filing a 1040x affect when I receive the Economic Stimulus package?

I forgot some student loan information when I filed my taxes. I received my refund about a month ago and I just got some tax papers the other day and I can get about 400 dollars more by filing a 1040x. I want to make sure that filing the 1040x before may 2nd will not change when I receive the economic stimulus package »”>stimulus package.

The IRS may not even process it before May 2nd.

The 1040X will not affect the amount of the rebate.
However, the IRS may delay it if they think you may owe from your 1040X (you won’t of course).
