What will happen if US Senate rejects the Stimulus Package?

And then there is a $0.00 package. Could this work out for the better because it would save the deficit from collapsing further and force people to engage themselves in the process of how to stay ahead of the game?
Would this really be disastrous or not if the Senate refuses to pass Obama’s stimulus bill and the package dies in the Senate?
Or lets say Senate Republicans filibuster and they can’t get the 60 votes to stop it, so the bill never makes it to a vote.
And then Obama says, “Because you didn’t act!!!! we’re in for catastrophee, would we really be doomed?

It would mean a replay of the Great Depression. The people need to know the government is acting to prevent that.
