What is the new stimulus package suppose to do?
Friday, January 15, 2010 10:17Posted in category 2009 Stimulus Check
I voted for Obama (I’m a demoracat), but I cannot understand how this new stimulus package »”>stimulus package/deal is suppose to help the economy.
Aren’t we just printing new money and creating more debt? This is just like Bush’s stimulus package?
Please tell me I’m wrong.
Note: Let’s keep this question clean. I don’t want to hear any “you stupid liberals” or “you stupid republicans”, and so on.
elkdevel,
that’s not true. We are suppose to get a check. And watch what I said about posting stupid comments.

Spending millions on studying the habits of the Marshland Harvest Mouse is a good way to stimulate the economy…
Spending BILLIONS on building a railway for a train from LA to Las Vegas is a great way to stimulate the economy…
Dont forget the HUNDREDS of BILLIONS going to Advocacy groups (ACORN) that is going to help the economy…
And the Hundreds of Billions to build some Government buildings, yep, surely that will stimulate the economy …

Increase government control and spread socialism while paying off the special interests that got the bums elected and putting our kids in the poor house.

It won’t help and it wasn’t written to help. It is to cause the economy to get worse so the Democrats can take contol of the private sector and tell us all how to live our lives. I fear the time is coming when the government will tell us what medical procedures we can have, what temperature to set our thermostats to, what kind of car to drive and even where we can get our information from. The last one they are already working on with the fairness doctrine or what ever they choose to call it.

It is payback to the welfare cheats who voted Hussein Obama in and to the political cronies that supported him.

The only purpose of the stimulus package is to fund all the pet projects and social programs that democrats have been waiting to fund for years. It’s like the floodgates were opened and they couldn’t wait another second to fund all of their pork projects. They’re saying that it’s supposed to stimulate the economy supposedly by creating jobs, like the people who are going to work on the pork projects, but I don’t think anybody believes that. They think that by throwing a very, very small amount of money to some of the people, they’ll be able to buy support for the bill. It’s way worse than Bush’s “stimulus” checks, which didn’t work either, because this bill has way, way more spending in it.

It gives the banks money to lend to people that don’t want any loans, because of job instability. So instead the money will go for bonus’s for those hard working CEO’s

The sad truth is that even if you do get some money in the form of a check the rest of the tax payers will be paying for it with their taxes.
This is not a good thing that is happening but something that is bad. The money that is being spent will take years to get into the system and then it will be way too many years to pay it all back.

I am also a Democrat. They’re two completely different plans. The Bush Administration’s $700b was to bail out banks, this one is about tax cuts and spending though infrastructure to create jobs.
