2009 Stimulus Check

I paid my taxes that I owed for 2007 via auto withdrawal from my checking this year. (I didn’t get a refund). I know they said the stimulus check would come via direct deposit if you did direct deposit for your refund, but does it work the other way around?

I am filing my taxes for 2008. Do I need to report the stimulus check I received in 2008? If so, how?

Also, if you file an extension, will you still receive a stimulus check later on in the year?
