If one spouse is working and the other doesn’t but file a joint tax return, will the new economic stimulus package »”>stimulus package give us each $600 or just to the working spouse?

Most of my class mates during the ’40s were ex-service men. Surveys conducted then and later indicate the overall wealth of the nation improved significantly. Since the current administration’s emphasis on health and education in the stimulus package »”>Stimulus Package the result should see a dramatic increase in personal wealth. The GI Bill was a great thing for our country. I suspect the Stimulus Bill will be the same. The past is prologue.

My husband owes back child support. Our tax returns are usually garnished. Will the same thing happen to our economic stimulus check? If so is there a way for me to protect my portion of it?
