Pennsylvania will get two checks coming from the stimulus package. The first one is worth $6.7 million that would aid at least 6 health clinics all over the state. This includes the community health clinics located in Pittsburgh. Other than that, the stimulus checks will also offer some financial aid at two other towns located in Pennsylvania. However, these 2009 stimulus checks will not prevent some cuts in Pennsylvania’s health programs.

According to the statement made by the United States Representatives John Murtha and Mike Doyle, some of the health centers that will benefit from the stimulus checks include the Community Medical Service located in Uniontown, Pittsburgh’s North Side Christian Health Center, and the Community Health Clinic Inc. situated in New Kensington. Two senators of United States namely Senator Arlene Specter and Senator Bob Casey have also confirmed that this will be the case.

Last minute additions to the list of the clinics that will receive a 2009  stimulus check are the three clinics located in Philadelphia, clinics at Chester, and the health centers situated at the northern central of Pennsylvania’s town of Emporium. Unfortunately, there are still no reports about the breakdown of the stimulus aid in these health clinics and the value of the check that each clinic will get.

The elected officials recently said in an interview that the mentioned health centers will definitely give the needy people the medical support that they require. Most of these people do not have health insurance. Therefore, the stimulus checks will allow them to gain access to the different health care services in the state. Aside from that, it would also create approximately 300  jobs for the people of Pennsylvania.

Every year, there are more than 40,000 patients that are treated at the health centers in Pennsylvania. In addition to the financial aid for Pennsylvania, there will be stimulus checks for more than 120 health centers all over the country which will target Americans with low salaries.
