Can i still get the stimulus package?

I forgot to file taxes this year (I was in Mexico studying abroad), and I worked from August until December. Is there any way to still receive the stimulus package?

Yes, get your taxes filed and you will be eligible for the stimulus payment. You may want to talk to the IRS about filing an extension. Since you were studying in Mexico, they might give you an extension until October 15. Good luck.

it’s not too late to still file your taxes to get your regular refund or the rebate,but in order to qualify for the rebate you must’ve earned at least $3000.00 in income,have valid ss# and not be claimed on anybody’s taxes,the rebate will be delayed and not be issued based on the irs’s schedule.
you only need to file a extension if you owe taxes and is not expecting a refund,if not you can file your taxes within the next 3 years,but if you want the rebate you must file your taxes by october 15th 2008.

File by October 15, and you’ll still get it if you qualify. Don’t wait until the last minute though.
