I invested the $250. I bought blueberry plants and a few more garden tools. I did not get the stimulus last year. When I tried to file taxes I was told I did not need to file. Bernie Sanders’ office also told me that I was not eligible for last year’s stimulus check due to the type of SSI received. I am very glad to get this one. In three years time my berry harvest will feed me, my family and the local food shelf.
Look toward the future and let the past go.

People on SSI were NOT given a check in 2008. Those saying they did had best check their facts. Those moaning about this 250 being a slap in the face have incurred my wrath. It’s better than nothing! Mygod, Ah, just read the comment above, it’s spot-on. I for one am anxiously awaiting my check and am darn thankful to get it.

This message is for all of you who claimed that you had recieved a stimulus check last year based on ssi checks along. Either you don’t know the difference between ssi and ssa, or you all are a bunch of liars. The SS website clearly states this comment about those who receive ssi only. Q. Does my supplemental security income (SSI) qualify as Social Security benefits for the purpose of the Economic Stimulus Payment?

A. No, supplemental security income (SSI) payments are not considered Social Security benefits and cannot be included. Because SSI is not taxable, it is not reported to you on Form SSA-1099. Only the amount shown in Box 5 of Form SSA-1099 is consider to qualify as Social Security benefits for purposes of the Economic Stimulus Payments.

Well I recieve SS and would love it if those who dont want the 250 dollars to Please send it to me. I’m just grateful for what I do get. I worked very hard in my life and never took anything for granted so I look forward to this check, I just have to make due with what I get.

I ve read all the comments about the $250.00 stimulus-check.i understand your frustrastions but i am thankful to get what ever i can.life is not always fair but we as a nation should be thankful. and no the clintons did not put us in this mess .check your facts about the clintons and bush! george w bush put us in this mess and knew we were headed for a depression long before any one. he had the oath of office for 8 years . he could have done someTHING besides set on his do nothing and side with ther rich oil conpanies.thats where your money went ,there and to a war that was not justified.there was trillions spent on the war in iraq and oil companies.they are the fat cats. bush went out with a majority of the american peoples money given to special interest groups. god bless obama as he takes on this big mess. people you need to pray for him. this is a serious mess. sorry if you don’t like my reply. but be more thank ful !!!!! People quit bitching, 250.00 is better than nothing now days, I’m single disabled since 2000, used to make over 60K a year, but I sure can use this money, I’m moving and it will be a great help, we’re lucky to have anything now days the way th economy is, if you don’t want it, donate to people without homes due to tornados, hurricanes, etc. Be happy with what you get now days even if it’s a penny, I’m grateful for this.

Everyone needs to quit moaning and groaning .Im on SSI due to a rare heart condition. Last year I lived on 637.00 dollars a month and medicaid payes 3 precriptions.I am damn glad to recieve this, thank God we live in the USA.And yes I did get a stimulus payment of 300.00and was thrilled to get that unexpected money.No im not a slacker I was a young 38 yrs old who , had been a hard worker.Who instantly became ill.Yall suck it up and be happy if you only get $1.00 because thats 1.00 you didnt have before.If you dont like it here in good o”l USA the go to another country and see what you get… no ss check no medicare no medicaide no food stamps, no housing benifits for the poor,,NOTHING…..YEA USA …..THANK YOU !!!
