i am one of the ones getting the 25.00 a wk. before they had passed that ruling i was getting 350.00 per month in food stamps to offset the cost of providing for our household. now fl says i make too much on unemployment to recieve help. i agree with todd m pire that this stimulus is nothing but a nightmare. i was qualified for only 275.00 per week in unemployment. my fiancee gets less than that in his. they should have done it as a onetime. atleast that way it would have done more to help out the unemployment recipitants.

Due to becoming unemployed my daughters SSI check has been cut back over
$200 a month. I’m told that unemployment benefits will disqualify individuals from receiving
SSI.
Although if working you can earn up to $2000 a month and receive maximum benefits. Maximum benefits for unemployment my state is $330 a week.
There are severe penalties for losing a job due to the economy. How ridiculous is this!

The stimulus check of $25 (weekly bonus) is nothing more than a nightmare. Even to those receiving it. This check will actually lower their income when calculated with food benefits. Leaving me with a decision to buy my heart medicine or food. I have not had my medicine in months and have turned everywhere to get help. Including looking for work. I’ve worked every year of my life since I was 16 and am now 46. Before the stimulus check I was qualified and receiving approximately $170 a month for food stamps. Now the food stamp office is adding $100 a month to my income in figuring my eligibility for the food stamps. Due to that stimulus check I, as well as how many others are no longer eligible? The stimulus check in reality leaves people with less not more. If our legislators could properly write laws this would have been considered from the start. It would have been written that state food stamp agencies not consider stimulus money as income in eligibility or for those eligible for the stimulus whom were better off with out it to be able to elect out. This is senseless. We pay these politicians to do their jobs, think things out and get it right. It’s their job. If they are not capable they need be removed or get out! Here you see the truth! The real story you don’t see on television. Why is this not in the media and being addressed? The media sure did sugar coat the $25 bonus checks to the unemployed! Somebody, please get this story out to the public and those needed to fix the problem.

I am unemployed and I signed up for unemployment but I have not received anything. I think that I did not qualify for unemployment. I am trying to find any job but so far no one is hiring even at best buy, barnes and noble, or the movie theatres. Do I still qualify for a stimulus check? And how does it work? Please let me know because I am running out of my savings. I am trying to go back to school.

Unlike the above I am on unemployment but receiving a check. The stimulas check would help my family out due to the unemployment is no where neat what I used to make. I feel truly blessed and will pray for all the above and all in the some situation.. May GOD help out Nation.

I have an able bodied family member who, at age 53, decided to “retire”…& he is living lazy & fine with the number of unemployment extensions or stimulus checks he has recieved…makes me wonder why I should keep working?!?
